M.Sc Vedic Science is a 2-year course. This course makes students familiar with the integrated concept of Modern Medical Science and Traditional Medicines. The Vedic course provides complete knowledge about Ayurveda, scientific advances in modern medicine, and extensive practical training. The roots of Ayurveda date back to Vedic times, making it one of the oldest systems of medicine in the world.
M.Sc Vedic Science programs are designed to groom the next generation of ambassadors of Vedic Sciences. Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Vedic Science
1. The candidate has to complete Bachelor's Degree like a Bachelor of Arts in Vedic Science (B.A.Vedic Science), or any other Bachelor’s Degree with relevant subjects or equivalent examination.
2. Candidates also should have passed a degree of BAMS from a recognized institute.
3. Candidates with minimum aggregate 50% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission to the Master of Arts in Vedic Science Studies program.
4. A minimum of one year of internship in the field of medicine is required.
Admission Process
1. Admission to the Ayurveda course is mainly done by seeing candidates’ merit in the entrance exams. Some institute candidates are also selected based on their merit in their previous exams.
2. Admission to most colleges is granted on the basis of entrance exam scores along with counseling sessions.
3. Many institutes conduct their own entrance exam along with group discussions/personal interviews.
Career after M.Sc Vedic Science
After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue higher studies and do a Master of Philosophy in Art Vedic Science (M.Phil.Vedic Science), Ph.D. (Doctorate in Vedic Science), and specialization or research-oriented work in their respective field. After the successful completion of the Master's study program, one can able to work as Professor, Lecturer, Consultant, etc.
Vedic Science is overlapping with the other medical system not only in India but also in the world. In many cases, people have taken the experience for the trustfulness of the Ayurvedic system and medicines treating chronic and non-healable diseases. A person with a degree can get employment in private as well as government Ayurvedic hospitals as a doctor, pharmacist, manager, etc.
